What if I don't reach 80?
The most common levers, in order of effort:
- TOPIK upgrade — one level often = 3-5 points.
- KIIP stage 5 — completion adds 10 points and can substitute for TOPIK.
- Income proof filing — many first-year applicants miss this because Korean tax records aren't yet established.
- Regional residence — moving outside the capital area can add 5 bonus points.
